The Quality Of Our Work
Insight Building Inspections takes pride in quality, attention to detail and delivering value.
When it comes to inspecting a residential property, we believe it’s important to have someone experienced, dedicated and thorough taking a close look at what could be one of your largest ever investments.
While some people will consider the building and pest inspection a check-list item to simply ‘get done’ in order to satisfy the bank, we instead consider it an incredibly important part of your decision making, to know exactly what you’re purchasing and save you ending up with a ‘lemon’ and a heap of debt.
Fully licensed and insured, you can rely on Insight Building Inspections to deliver a fair and honest analysis of residential property.
Ross’ insight into South East Queensland’s property landscape provides an added advantage with his keen eye quickly able to identify areas to further investigate. From the direction of the sun to the slope of the land and adjoining trees and properties, Ross begins taking mental notes before he even steps out of the car.

Insight Building Inspections understands that buying a property can involve a high level of emotion and gut feeling, but we prefer to rely on facts and evidence to know if a property is safe, well-maintained and ready for sale.
Quite often the first question we’re asked is ‘how much is an inspection and report,’ which we’re happy to answer. It’s from $200, and a firm price for your inspection and report can be given once we know the size and type of property.
The most important questions to ask of a building inspector are:
- What is their building background?
- How long have they been in the industry?
- Are they fully licenced and insured?
The cost of building inspections is similar across the industry with the difference of just $50 between the lower and upper price points. However, the difference in value is vast.
To become a building inspector, you have to be a licenced builder. However, to be a licenced builder you don’t have to be an experienced builder. One builder could be an estimator, whereas another could have spent 20 years on the tools, both complete the tests and can inspect homes for the same price but not at the same level.
With over 20 years’ hands-on building experience, Ross embodies a wealth of knowledge on residential buildings and has a unique knack for spotting discrepancies and levels (or most commonly things out of level).
Trust Insight Building Inspections for the highest quality and best value building inspection to give you peace of mind that you’ve got all the right information to make an informed decision.

"Ross was not your usual pool inspector! He was incredibly helpful; he fixed a few things that I would’ve had to get a builder to do and then signed it off. This meant I wasn’t charged for multiple inspections. For a pain free service that won’t cost you the earth, I highly recommend Ross."
"He arrived at short notice to inspect the pool area and issue a compliance certificate. He was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. His knowledge of property inspections is impressive and I would have no hesitation in recommend him for house or pool inspections."
"Ross is the BEST Building Inspector on the Coast! He recently did an inspection at my house and picked up several things the 'other' building inspectors missed. Thanks to him we can now sort them out before they become major issues."
"Ross recently helped my wife and I with a pre-purchase inspection on a place we were looking at. He is incredibly detailed and thorough and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking at buying a home (or wanting to get their ducks in a row before selling)."
