With over 20 years hands-on building experience, and then having inspected and written over 6,000 reports as a licenced building inspector, Ross is extremely experienced in residential building inspections and can easily identify areas of a home that need deeper investigation. Things like the direction of the sun, the slope of the land and adjoining trees are instant triggers he knows he’ll need to write up before he’s even out of the car.

Additionally, having lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast for more than a decade, Ross has a wealth of local knowledge of soil types, slopes, local builders, regulations and a solid understanding of past and present circumstances.

Yes, Insight Building Inspections is covered by the relevant public liability and professional indemnity insurances.

8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Weekend inspections are available on request with weekend rates. Evening inspections are rarely performed due to poor lighting preventing an inspection to the level of detail required for a quality, comprehensive report.

Covering the Greater Sunshine Coast Region, stretching from Noosa and The Hinterland, down to Caloundra, and everything in between – including Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Buderim, Warana, Parrearra (Kawana Island), Birtinya, Maleny, Gympie, and Kilcoy, stretching as far as North Brisbane.

Generally, an inspection can be booked within 2-3 days of your enquiry.

The report can be sent the same day (on request) or next day. Files are only released once the account has been finalised.

An invoice is sent prior to the inspection and the report is released when the funds are transferred into in the Insight Building Inspections bank account.

A comprehensive inspection and report is priced from $200.
